“Culture is public, because meaning is.” - Clifford Geertz

Our story

Rooted in a critique of the exclusionary spatial politics of the New York City art market, this project functions as a counter-institutional response to the diminishing opportunities for creative visibility within the traditional gallery circuit. By bypassing these elite gatekeeping mechanisms, the initiative reclaims the "wall" as a site of democratic potential rather than a boundary of private capital.

Central to its mission is the concept of public culture—the belief that the visual landscape of the city should be a shared intellectual and aesthetic resource. The project asserts that any surface dedicated to the display of art must be integrated into the public sphere, ensuring that cultural participation is not a specialized privilege, but a fundamental right accessible to the collective majority.

At the core of our mission is our commitment to showcasing artists in New York City and from around the world whom we have become acquainted with and believe in their trajectory, their intent, and the quality of their work.

We collaborate with art professionals around the world: critics, art historians, museum experts, lecturers, and exhibition designers to help shape meaningful exhibitions.

We curate curate shows that can either be online from New York City, in the heart of the city in the public spaces of New York City, or occasionally in the traditional white cube.

Driven by commitment to the arts

We're not here to follow trends—we're here to build something timeless.

Our projects are volunteer based, with paid collaborations from writers, critics, art historians, and exhibition designers that help us with the texts, critiques, selection process and exhibition design.

Featured artists are showcased because we curate the shows and select them, and there are no fees involved. Solo Shows featuring work online that is for sale benefits the artist, with the artist processing their own payments and receiving 100% of any sales.

Our project is driven by commitment, transparency and passion.
